Since its original release in Japan, Sin Eater has become an indispensable part of Saber Tiger’s live set. Understandably, because the song is very representative of the band’s sound, which balances intense riffs and dramatic melodies. The song tells the story of a man who has angered God and is punished with immortality, eternally consuming the sins of repentant sinners, who are given mercy in return. Saber Tiger show their versatility by capturing both the pain and the anger of the Sin Eater in the eponymous song.
Sin Eater is written by guitarist Yasuharu Tanaka with lyrics by Fubito Endo, who also recently worked with Japanese heavy metal legends Anthem. The track is taken from the forthcoming worldwide release Bystander Effect [Expanded Edition], coming to you via Sliptrick Records on March 13th.
